What is the difference between a usb Memorex travel drive and a external hard drive?

I recently purchased a usb Memorex Travel drive and I was wondering what is better. A Memorex Travel drive or a external hard drive. I know a external hard drive has moving parts inside that reads and writes information and a Travel drive does not.
